Snowy Winter Wedding in Yosemite National Park
Yosemite Chapel Elopement
Here’s a snowy winter adventure elopement at Yosemite National Park with a few family members gathered for my last wedding of the year. I received a call from a wonderful Nashville couple, Victoria and Richard, who wanted to elope in Yosemite. They were hoping for a winter wedding. The week prior to their wedding, it snowed. They cheered. It provided some epic landscape photos for us to explore and experience. They opted for the adventure, intimate and cozy, which is what I photograph often in these National Park weddings.
They stayed and got ready at the Tenaya Lodge. After that, they met me down in the Yosemite Valley for their ceremony at the historic Yosemite Chapel. After they exchanged vows at the alter, they celebrated with the ringing the bell that echoed in the wilderness. As they walked outside of the church, and down the stops, all vehicles and traffic congested along the main road celebrated in unison with honking. All vehicles were stopped in traffic.
As we were about to hop into our 4WD vehicles to travel around the valley for photos, we realized we wouldn’t be able to move. So, we walked around the Yosemite Chapel for our photos until traffic started to move.
I had a rad time hiking in the snow with my couple and enjoying the beautiful flavor the wilderness around us. Here are a few images from their snowy wintery wedding in Yosemite.
