Scott and Mariah’s Woodland Photo Shoot in Amador County

I enjoy the outdoors and photographing couples in woods. This is basically my backyard. Even though I travel often for weddings and other photo shoots, most of my couples drive here to Amador County for their photo session. There’s so much to photograph here in this county from Jackson, California up to the Kirkwood Hideout. Many couples are curious what my area is like before arriving, and even in the drought, this place looks good.
This was Scott and Mariah’s photo shoot, and they did well! Contrary to what many may believe, most of my couples are actually quite nervous at first, asking for advice on what to wear, what they should do during the shoot, where to put their hands, and are a little scared the photos may not turn out because they feel they are not “photogenic” as what they see on wedding blogs and magazines. However, with a little direction, many of these same couples will appear here on my website or blog, not perfect, but enjoying themselves, relaxed, natural, and looking great!
