In Coloma, California, along historic Hwy 49 on a beautiful Spring day after rains preceded their arrival, Mike and Nicole celebrated their wedding day. They gathered with friends and family at the modern Villa Florentina, a beautiful venue that will surprise you upon entry through their gates. It was last year when Mike and Nicole asked me to document their wedding day. It was also at this time when Nicole’s father passed in an unfortunate automobile accident. I felt awful and wasn’t sure what would happen, but eventually they would go ahead with their wedding plans and celebrate in his name. At the ceremony and reception, honor was given to him with a special seat holding a cigar, an olive branch, a candle, and a portrait of him smiling with a cigar (at the end of this blog). I’m thankful to have captured them happy with their bridal party, dancing together with close friends and family, and altogether making good memories. On top of the beautiful scenic landscape, rustic wedding decor, natural wood chairs, delicious food, and wonderful guests, we couldn’t help but photograph great images on their day. Ariel, who typically photographs beside me, was the maid of honor in this event, so I connected with a friend and photographer Sebastian Bicard who assisted me for this day. Congratulations to Mike and Nicole on their wedding day!
