Kauai Weddings and Elopements
Kauai weddings and elopements are a great way to get married. You’ve found the right place and photographer. The island of Kauai is filled with many epic and romantic locations and wedding venues to capture everything you desire. I’ve been around the island and know it well. I can guide you in planning your adventure elopement or Hawaii wedding. I have access to a list of vendors who can assist you on your day. There are better locations for sunsets and sunrises.
Kauai Locations
So you want to get married and also need a Kauai wedding photographer who can hike with you, guide you to popular and private island locations, and also capture your special day at your best? Here are some images below from Kauai weddings and elopements I documented earlier this year. The stars in the sky Kauai wedding photo shown below was captured in 2014 and it received an international award. Beyond the stars, you have many options on the entire island for photos.
Kauai Beaches
First of all, the beaches. There are scenic beaches all over the island where you can have your ceremony. Some are superior to others, while others have better sunrises or sunsets that are captivating. I’ve been to popular beaches and secret beaches, and many less visited beaches that are epic. We will need a permit to have a ceremony or take photos, but I will take care of that when you book. Typically couples stay in the south near Poipu or Koloa where you are closer to the Waimea Canyon. Waimea Canyon has many trails and scenic views. In the Koloa area, there are many hotels and resorts, like the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Koloa Landing Resort. The Hyatt Kauai has access to beautiful beach.
The northern part of the island also has equally impressive beaches, tropical forests, nice hotels, and other mountains, like the Haena State Park. You can take short or long hikes at the Haena state park that leads to waterfalls and other epic locations. The eastern or southeastern part of the island near the airport is also a great midway between your southern and northern adventures. The Kauai Beach Resort is great hotel option between the north and south for wedding guests to enjoy the beach while enjoying many of the local restaurants and shopping options.
Kauai Mountains
Secondly, the mountains. Kauai has many mountain trails and epic scenery for adventure couples to hike in their wedding attire or not, both in the north and south. When you set up a wedding or elopement with us, we will discuss your your preferences on locations. For mountain photography like a Waimea canyon weddings, that will require a separate permit through the state of Hawaii. For permits, we will take responsiblity.
Kauai Wedding Venues
Lastly, there are plenty of wedding venues on Kauai where you can have a your wedding. I’ve already mentioned the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort, Koloa Landing Resort, Kauai Beach Resort and Spa, and also, check out the Beach House Restaurant, a lovely and popular location for many weddings in the south. Also, in the southwest, there’s the Waimea Plantation Cottages. You’ll want to visit their website for photos. Additionally, check out 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, a high end resort on the northern part of Kauai. Lastly, check out Princeville Makai Golf Club on the northern part of the island.
