I traveled to Los Angeles for an awesome wedding at the Pacific Palms Resort. I met Cary and Anissa last year at Sally and Justin Arnst’s wedding. I photographed Cary and Anissa’s engagement session earlier at the LA Dodger’s Stadium in September 2010. For some of you who don’t know, Cary is the grandson of the late great Hall of Fame Roy Campanella, which is how we were able to gain access into the Stadium (Cary’s mother is Roy’s daughter who can be seen below in one of the dance images).
It was blue skies for Cary and Anissa, as they expressed their commitment to each other on the golf course by sharing vows before friends and family. After the bridemaid’s were escorted in by the groomsmen, everyone wondered where the bride would make her entrance. I’m not exactly sure how many people knew, but Anissa came riding in on a Cinderella carriage from the distance. Everyone stood in awe. If you could hear the sounds of everyone ooohhing and aaahhing as she came trotting in with this majestic horse and stoic rider, you would have thought you were in the presence of the true royal queen of England. The truth is Anissa is a princess, and Cary, her prince charming. They both came to the alter to commit their lives to each other, for better and for worse. We not only enjoyed our time together at the resort, but apparently everyone in the resort from the 11th floor down could enjoy it with us, since the bass was ricocheting throughout the property. I’m also glad to have taken my wife and three girls to Disneyland the previous week for some good times. Here are few images from their wedding day.
