Yesterday, I photographed Scott and Eleni’s engagement session in cold Lake Tahoe with (get this) my Apple iPhone 6 plus. I could have done the same thing with my iPhone 4s. Now granted, I did bring along my Nikon D750 which I love and used for the most part. However, one of my intentions was to experiment with my new iphone camera. Photography isn’t necessarily about he camera you use anyway. Scott and Eleni were gracious enough to allow me the extra time to trade back and forth between cameras throughout our time. It was also really cold, like 46 high and 25 low, so I tried not to waste any time fidgeting. While I have images from my Nikon D750, the images shown below are purely from my iPhone 6 plus, processed quickly and lightly in Adobe Lightroom with a few presets, and this is the end result. I could have cleaned these images up a little in Photoshop, brought an assistant with video lighting, harnessed some iPhone lenses for this shoot, but that would take away some of the raw thunder. This is just a few of the images from my iPhone, but it just goes to show what you can do with a camera phone. Remember, it’s the not camera that makes photographs, it’s the visionary behind it.
